Mid-Level PHP/Node.js Developer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mid-level Node.js/PHP/Laravel Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is vital for driving back-end and front-end integrations, enhancing application security, and contributing to various other aspects of our projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in both Node.js and PHP/Laravel development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and maintainable APIs using Node.js and/or PHP/Laravel
  • Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
  • Develop security protocols and safeguarding systems against vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to create reusable code and libraries
  • Monitor system performance and resolve issues as they arise
  • Develop and maintain system documentation
  • Mentor junior developers and lead code reviews

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in back-end development using Node.js/PHP/Laravel
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript ES6+, asynchronous programming,  event-driven architecture and Laravel
  • Proven experience in implementing security measures for back-end systems
  • Experience in RESTful API design and development
  • Familiarity with databases, both SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB)
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong experience in collaborating with front-end developers and integrating front-end with back-end logic

Optional

  • Knowledge of email security concepts including DKIM, SPF, and DMARC
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) tools
  • Previous experience in mentoring junior developers
