Senior QA Engineer/Team Lead

We are currently seeking an experienced QA Team Lead to head our Quality Assurance team, which comprises junior and mid-level QA engineers. The QA Team Lead will be responsible for guiding the team in testing and ensuring the quality of our email security platform. This is a pivotal role requiring both technical proficiency and leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met
- Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers, providing career development and skill-building opportunities
- Collaborate closely with the development team to understand product changes, features, and updates
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Lead and execute both manual and automated test strategies
- Perform root cause analysis for defects and ensure their timely resolution
- Report QA metrics and updates to upper management and the entire team
- Continuously improve the QA processes to enhance product quality
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proficient in QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in both manual and automated testing
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor team members
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs
- Knowledge in relational databases like Postgres
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Optional
- Understanding of DMARC, SPF, and DKIM records is a plus.
