DevOps Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
Automate code integration, testing, and deployment processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues promptly.
Strong understanding of AWS and other cloud services such as EC2, RDS, Elastic Cache, Lambda
Manage, optimize and improve the infrastructure services availability, performance and security
Managed databases such as Postgres and managed RDS services
Infrastructure service monitoring using AWS Cloud Watch, New relic or any other services
Develop capacity plans
Develop and maintain infrastructure code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
Manage cloud infrastructure resources, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Ensure infrastructure is versioned, and changes are tracked.
Work with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Deploy and manage containerized applications in production environments.
Implement monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack to ensure system health and performance.
Troubleshoot and respond to incidents promptly.
Implement security best practices, including access controls and vulnerability assessments.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to define infrastructure requirements.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or related role.
Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and pipeline automation.
Good English verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and security tools.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Scripting and automation expertise.
Knowledge of version control systems.

Preferred Skills:

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
Understanding of agile and DevOps methodologies.
Knowledge of database management and optimization.
